WEEE Information for Lumenis Customers and Recyclers

Lumenis products are sold in Ireland by distributors. The distributors act as the importer of the equipment into Ireland. Thus the distributors have the legal responsibility to:

• Register as the WEEE producer in Ireland.
• Provide arrangements for collection and recycling of WEEE arising from Lumenis products that the distributor sells in Ireland.

Selling products directly to an end-user in another Member State is known as ‘distance selling’. The WEEE Directive and Irish WEEE Regulations state that neither Lumenis nor its distributor is responsible for WEEE arising from distance sales of business products directly to the business end-user in other Member States. Instead, it is the business end-user’s responsibility to ensure that products which they buy through distance selling arrangements are managed in an environmentally responsible manner at end of life.
