Ms. Tzipi Ozer-Armon, CEO of Lumenis, joined the company in May 2012. Before joining Lumenis, Ms. Ozer-Armon headed the Japanese market activities of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: TEVA), a business with a turnover of more than $800M. Prior to that, Ms. Ozer-Armon served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at SanDisk (Nasdaq: SNDK), having multi-billion dollars sales’ responsibility; she also served as VP & General Manager of MSystems (Nasdaq: FLSH), and as VP of Corporate Development at Comverse (Nasdaq: CMVT). Ms. Ozer-Armon’s career also includes four years at ATKearney, a Global Management Consulting company based in London, UK. Ms. Ozer-Armon holds a BA magna cum laude in Economics from Tel Aviv University, an MBA majoring in Finance and Marketing, and she is an AMP graduate of the Harvard Business School.
Mr. Shy Basson joined Lumenis in May 2022 as the Chief Financial Officer. Shy brings more than 20 years of experience in Finance, Business and Operations. Prior to joining Lumenis, Shy was the CFO and US COO of Itamar Medical, a MedTech company focused on leading the integration of Sleep Apnea management into the cardiac patient care pathway. During his tenure, Shy drove continuous improvement, led the company’s NASDAQ IPO, and at a later stage played a pivotal role in the company’s M&A process, ultimately resulting in an acquisition of Itamar Medical by Zoll Medical. Before joining Itamar Medical, Shy held roles as the CFO, Business and Strategy for WeFi, the Director of Business Development at AOL (a Time Warner Company), and the CFO of ICQ, the world leader in instant messaging. Shy earned a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg-Recanati International Executive MBA Program and is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Brad Oliver joined Lumenis in 2005 as an Area Sales Manager in San Diego. In 2007, Mr. Oliver was promoted to the role of Regional Sales Manager in the Western US. Thanks to his achievements, Mr. Oliver was offered to join Lumenis APAC to establish a new direct sales office in Australia & New Zealand. Mr. Oliver and his team significantly advanced Australia and made it one of the top revenue contributing countries for Lumenis. In 2014, Mr. Oliver returned to the US as the Vice President of sales and marketing for Lumenis America’s Aesthetic sales division, and one year later was promoted to VP & Regional President of the Americas. Prior to working with Lumenis, Mr. Oliver held many management positions with the Gallo Wine Company. Brad holds a B.Sc. degree in Communications from the University of San Diego.
Mr. Zhai Qiying, Senior Vice President & Regional President of Lumenis APAC & Japan Region joined the company in 2001. Before joining Lumenis, Mr. Qiying held senior management positions with the Coherent Medical Group in his region, and joined Lumenis with the company’s ESC/Sharplan merger. Mr. Qiying started Lumenis’ Ophthalmic business in China in 1992 and has been with Lumenis since that time responsible for Lumenis’ China/APAC region.
Mr. Roy Ramati, Senior Vice President, EMEA & Business Development, joined Lumenis in June 2012. Mr. Ramati brings to his role vast management and entrepreneurial experience. Before joining Lumenis, Mr. Ramati served as VP & GM of the Enterprise Division at SanDisk Corp. and before that as VP Operations and Manager of the Memory Cards Business at Msystems, Roy was the founder and Co-CEO of the Fantine Group, a provider of business development services in Europe and a Venture Capital Fund. Mr. Ramati also served as a management consultant at Shaldor, Israel’s top management consulting firm. Mr. Ramati holds an MBA from the London Business School, and a BA from Tel Aviv University.
Ms. Hadas Padan, Vice President, Medical Business Group, joined Lumenis in December 2013. Before joining Lumenis, Ms. Padan served as Director of Product Management and Strategic Development at the Healthcare Information Solutions division of Carestream – a ~$200m business unit within the $2.3b privately-held company in the field of medical imaging systems and IT solutions. In that role Ms. Padan managed an international group and held direct responsibility over product and business management, medical advisory board & KOL relationships, global product positioning, go-to-market strategy, oversaw R&D plans, and more. Prior to Carestream, Ms. Padan served as Director of Product Management at Kodak health’s Imaging Division. Ms. Padan holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Industrial Engineering (magna cum laude) from the Tel Aviv University.
Mr. Ezi Hayon, Vice President, Operations, joined Lumenis in October 2014. Mr. Hayon brings over 15 years of solid business experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Lumenis, he served for 7 years as Executive Director of Product Management at McKesson (NYSE: MCK), an American Healthcare company with over $120 Billion in annual revenue. At McKesson Mr. Hayon was responsible for the company’s Cardiology product line, including marketing, forecasting, product roadmap planning, and strategic projects. Before that, he served as Project Manager at GE Healthcare (NYSE: GE) in the company’s MRI division, leading and managing variety of software development projects in a multi-disciplinary environment. Mr. Hayon career in the healthcare field began at ESC, one of the key companies that later merged into forming today’s Lumenis. Mr. Hayon holds a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the Haifa University in Israel; and an MS in Engineering Management from the University of Wisconsin, in Madison, US.
Mr. Mayer began his career at Lumenis in 2014 as the Product Marketing Director of the Vision Business Unit. Since then, he has been instrumental in introducing first-to-market leading technologies and growing Lumenis’ marketing and channels significantly, serving as VP & Managing Director of Lumenis Vision and the Head of Global Marketing, and prior to that, as the head of Lumenis’ Vision Business Unit in San Jose, California. Before joining Lumenis, Mr. Mayer served as a consultant with McKinsey & Company as well as a senior executive in Agro-Tech companies. His background is further enriched by his service as a Captain in the Israeli Air Force, where he was recognized with the Chief of Staff Distinguished Officer award. He holds a B.A. and an M.Sc. in Accounting and Finance (magna cum laude), both from Tel Aviv University.
Ms. Barneah-Alsheich, Vice President, Head of Aesthetics BU, joined Lumenis in November 2012. In her previous role at Lumenis, Ms. Barneah-Alsheich led the Surgical BU, playing a key role in the sale of the Surgical business to Boston Scientific for $1.1B. Prior to joining Lumenis Ms. Barneah-Alsheich served as Director of Product at the Philips global HQ in Amsterdam, leading an emerging new category for the company in the field of consumer medical aesthetics. Prior to Philips, she served as a Strategy Consultant for Bain & Company in Amsterdam. She holds an MBA from INSEAD Business School, which she completed in France and Singapore, and a B.Sc in Computer Science from the Academic College of Tel-Aviv-Jaffa.
Mr. Preiss joined Lumenis in 2011 as an accomplished leader with over 20 years of experience in med-tech and high-tech research and development in both startups and global corporations. Prior to joining Lumenis, Mr. Preiss was instrumental in driving transformative technological advancements such as the first NADIV airborne command and control system at Elbit and the development of the first image-based electrophysiology ablation technology at Biosense Webster (a division of Johnson & Johnson). At Lumenis, he played a key role in developing the revolutionary Moses™ laser technology, the foundational proprietary technology behind the acquisition of the Surgical business by Boston Scientific for $1.1B. He is a graduate of the Israeli Air Force Flight Academy and holds a B.A. in Computer Science and an MBA (summa cum laude).
Mr. Shemesh joined Lumenis in 2015 as part of the Financial and Strategic Planning team, bringing to his role finance, management and entrepreneurial experience. He then assumed the role of Senior Director of Strategy and Chief of Staff to the CEO. In his current position, he leads Lumenis’ efforts to develop customer-centric technological offerings and business models, designed to deepen relationships and increase customer lifetime value. Before joining Lumenis, Mr. Shemesh began his career in Los Angeles, serving in multiple finance positions and co-founding a mobile marketing start-up. He holds an MBA from Tel Aviv University and a B.A. summa cum laude in Business Economics from the University of California Los Angeles.
Ms. Karen Smith, Vice President, Regulatory Affairs & Quality, joined Lumenis in October of 2017. Immediately prior to joining Lumenis, Ms. Smith served as VP, Regulation and Operations for Cyrcadia Health – a US based startup specializing in early stage breast cancer detection devices. Previously, Ms. Smith served over 26 years at Siemens Medical Solutions in the Ultrasound Business Unit. Ms. Smith held various leadership and management positions, such as Vice President of Quality and Regulations – heading a global team, spread across several sites, and leading the global management of all RA strategy and Quality Systems activities.
Mr. Ido Warshavski, Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, joined Lumenis in December 2014. Prior to joining Lumenis he served for a decade as the chief legal officer (most recently as Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary) of Given Imaging Ltd. (NASDAQ: GIVN) – the pioneer of capsule endoscopy and a leader in the development, manufacturing and sales of medical devices in the gastrointestinal field. At Given Imaging, Mr. Warshavski had responsibility over all global legal, intellectual property and compliance activities. Prior to Given Imaging, Mr. Warshavski served for 5 years as a corporate attorney in the New York law firm Proskauer Rose LLP, working primarily in the areas of securities laws, mergers & acquisitions, venture capital, and providing general corporate law services to companies, with emphasis on the medical device field. Mr. Warshavski holds a Masters of Laws (LL.M) degree from Duke University School of Law at Durham, North Carolina, and a Bachelor’s of Laws (LL.B) degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the College of Management School of Law in Tel Aviv. He is a member of the Israeli Bar Association (1997), the New York State Bar (2000), and the Association of Corporate Counsel (2004).
